How we choose what we clean with

We don’t reach for the harshest thing under the sink by default. We pick the product and the tool for the surface in front of us: what it’s made of, what’s actually on it, whether it will work, and who lives with it afterwards. Kids, pets, and the person doing the cleaning all count.

Most of the time that means lower-toxicity products, because most of the time they do the job. When something genuinely calls for a stronger product, bleach included, we’ll use it where it’s the right call for the surface and it can be used safely in your home.

We’d rather explain that plainly than tell you everything in our kit is non-toxic. It isn’t, and no honest cleaner’s is.

We don’t normally work weekends, but we’re happy to when it’s the only time that works. Ask us for the weekend total.

A few things sit outside a Nestwell clean: exterior or second-story windows, carpet and upholstery shampooing, post-construction debris, and anything that calls for a licensed specialist, such as mold remediation or pest control. If you’re not sure, ask when you call and we’ll tell you straight.

What kind of cleaning products do you use?

Lower-toxicity, low-scent products most of the time, because most of the time they do the job well. We choose based on the surface, what’s actually on it, and who lives with it afterwards, including kids, pets, and our own cleaners. When something genuinely calls for a stronger product, bleach included, we’ll use it where it’s safe for the surface and the household. We won’t tell you everything in our kit is non-toxic, and we’ll always say what we used if you ask.

What’s actually included in a clean?

Every clean covers kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, mirrors and glass, baseboards and frames, and trash. What changes between a recurring clean, a deep clean, and a move-out is how far we go into the details, and a few things, like inside the oven or interior windows, are add-ons on a recurring visit. We’ll go through all of it with you when you call.

Will I get the same cleaners each time?

That’s the plan, and it’s one of the reasons we stay small. Familiar cleaners learn your home: which surfaces need care, where things live, what you notice first. You don’t start over every visit. If someone is out sick or on vacation we’ll tell you before the day, not after.

How do I get a quote?

Do I need a deep clean first?

Most homes do, especially before starting recurring service. We’ll let you know when we quote, so your home starts at the Nestwell standard.

How does the hourly pricing work?

You pay for the time your home needs, nothing more. A team of two is $100/hour for recurring service or $120/hour for a one-time clean. One cleaner is $60/hour recurring or $72/hour one-time. Every service has a 2-hour minimum, and cleaning supplies are always included. Weekend visits, when available, carry an added fee on top of the total.

Can I prepay for a block of hours?

Yes, and you get extra hours for it. Pay for 10 hours and receive 11 ($1,000), pay for 20 and receive 22 ($2,000), or pay for 30 and receive 34 ($3,000). Divide the hours among your visits however you like, with a minimum of two hours per visit, Monday through Friday.
